UK actor Gary Lewis (Billy Elliot, Gangs of New York) joins Irish actors David Wilmot (The Clinic, Intermission) and Ger Ryan (Stardust) in rounding out the cast for the feature film ‘Dorothy Mills’, currently shooting in Ireland. more
 Irish Animation Team Live ‘Happily N’Ever After’
A team of Irish animation professionals, led by director Paul J. Bolger, worked on the feature length 3D animation ‘Happily N’Ever After’, released across Ireland this weekend. The family comedy features the vocal artistry of Sigourney Weaver (Alien), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy The Vampire Slayer), Andy Dick (Employee of the Month) and Freddie Prince Jr. (Scooby Doo).  more
Hansard & Irglova Supply Title Theme For Bob Dylan Biopic
The Frames singer and star of award-winning film ‘Once’, Glen Hansard, is set to compose and perform the title track ‘I’m Not There’ for Todd Haynes' (Far From Heaven) new Dylan bio-pic, of the same name. Hansard’s song, recently recorded in Ireland by The Frames guitarist Rob Bochnik, will also feature his ‘Once’ co-star Marketa Irglova. more
New Short Shorts Deadline August 10th
The new deadline for the Irish Film Board Short Shorts film scheme is Friday, August 10th. Short Shorts, funded by the IFB, aims to produce ultra short pieces, which can be screened theatrically in front of feature films. more
