The 53rd Taormina Film Festival has announced the Irish feature film ‘Kings’, directed by Tom Collins, is to receive its world premiere at the Italian festival. The bi-lingual feature will compete against five other international titles for the Beyond Mediterranean Audience Award.  more
  RTÉ Shoot Charity Motorcycle Trip Documentary
Comedian P.J. Gallagher, retired Olympic athlete Eamon Coughlan and Today’s FM’s Phil Cawley will join one hundred motorcyclists who are set to bike around Ireland this weekend, raising over €100,000 for Our Lady’s Hospital, Crumlin. The event, entitled ‘Whole Way Round’, will be filmed for broadcast on RTÉ. more
 Bill Murray Books ‘City of Ember’
Oscar nominated actor Bill Murray (Lost in Translation) has signed to star in the forthcoming feature ‘City of Ember’ alongside Toby Jones (Amazing Grace) and Saoirse Ronan (Atonement). The Walden Media/Playtone Productions film is scheduled to shoot in Northern Ireland this summer.  more
