LA Irish Film Festival Premieres Five Titles in US
Irish films receiving their US premieres at the festival include 'Cherrybomb’, ‘Peacefire’ and ‘Gabriel Byrne:Stories from Home’. The festival opens with 'The Eclipse'; other titles include ‘Identities’, ‘The Secret of Kells’, and IFTA winners ‘Kisses ’ and ‘Waveriders’. more
New TG4 Series ‘Rasai Na Gaillimhe’
TG4’s new comedy drama series, ‘Rasai na Gaillimhe’ (The Galway Races), produced by Great Western Films, and directed by Robert Quinn, follows the fortunes of a disparate yet intricately connected group of characters through an exciting race week in the city of the tribes. more
Director of Dingle Festival Shares Festival Highlights
The Festival, described by one of its guests, Geoff Wonfor, director of The Beatles Anthology, as “The most passionate film festival I have ever seen" was deemed a success following its run from 10th to 13th September. Maurice Galway shares his thoughts on this year’s event. more

‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ Starts New Run on RTÉ One
Mint Production’s genealogy series ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ includes talk show host Ryan Tubridy, broadcaster Ivan Yates, actress Fionnula Flanagan, Simon Delaney, Rosanna Davison and Diarmuid Gavin. Tubridy is first up to trace his lineage from his impoverished ancestors in Connemara and further back along his family tree to the centre of the former British Empire. more

Following their screenings at the 34th Toronto Film Festival this week, Irish films ‘Cracks’ and ‘A Shine Of Rainbows’ have been chosen alongside ‘His & Hers’ and short films ‘The Mill’ and ‘If I Should Fall Behind’ for the 53rd London Film Festival which takes place next month. more
New York Screening of Irish Documentary ‘Chippers’
