Filmmakers Jill Beardsworth and Keith Walsh are currently shooting the feature-length docummetary, 'Apples of the Golan' at the Golan Heights. Funded by the Irish Film Board and the Vienna Film Fund, the feature is a co-production between Hawkeye Films and Goldengirls (Vienna). more

Gleeson Writing & Directing 'At Swim-Two-Birds'
Irish production company Parallel Pictures will produce an adaptation of Flann O'Brien's 'At Swim-Two-Birds'. Reports have been confirmed today that Brendan Gleeson has adapted the novel and will direct and star in the project. A cream lineup of Irish acting talent including Gabriel Byrne, Cillian Murphy and Colin Farrell are reportedly set to star. more

885,000 Viewers As Jubiliee Rose Of Tralee Is Crowned
A peak of 885,000 viewers tuned in at 11:17pm on Wednesday August 26th to see London Rose, Charmaine Kenny crowned as the 51st Rose of Tralee. The 26 year old hails originally from Athy in Co. Kildare and will now spend the next twelve months travelling the globe representing Ireland through her role of Golden Jubilee International Rose of Tralee. more
