Rialto Film Distribution Acquires Aus/NZ Rights for Liam O’Mochain’s 'Lost & Found'

Irish Writer/Director Liam O Mochain’s 3rd feature film ‘Lost & Found’ has been picked up by Rialto distribution for Australia & New Zealand release. The film was also recently picked up by FILM 4 for the UK.

Lost & Found’ will be in UK cinemas from Oct 19th 2018 after it’s acclaimed Irish cinema release in July/August. The film will also screen in competition at the upcoming 25th Austin Film Festival later this month. 

‘Lost & Found’ recently won best foreign film at the 2018 Arizona International Film Festival following it’s sold out world premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh.

Director Liam O Mochain (‘WC’, ‘The Book That Wrote itself’) told IFTN:

“We are delighted that Rialto have shown such a great interest in the film.  They have been involved with great films from Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, UK and internationally for many years.  I am really looking to forward to audiences in Australia & New Zealand getting an opportunity to engage with the film”.  Producer Bernie Grummell adds ‘We are thrilled, ‘Lost & Found’ was filmed over 5 years and it is great for everyone involved that the film will be seen internationally’. Rialto Film Distribution CEO, Kelly Rogers said: “Lost & Found is such a treat to watch, one of those rare films that only comes along ever so often, the team and I are delighted to be sharing the film with local audiences and know they will adore Lost & Found as much as we do.”

'Lost & Found’ is a feature film with 7 interconnecting stories set in and around a lost & found office of an Irish train station.  All segments are inspired by true stories, share a theme of something lost or found, and characters that come in and out of each other’s lives. O Mochain says the reaction the film got from both audiences and press in its’ Irish release was great.  Dublin Inquirer said about the film “Lost & Found is consistently funny.★★★★”  Newstalk said  "Go see it…It will leave you with a smile on your face.“  Sunday Independent “lovely observations and a really great cast” The Irish Times “O Mochain’s third feature is his most appealing work to date”, The Sunday World said the film was “Charming” The Sunday Times “Humorous” and Sunday Business Post said the film was “a gentle contemporary comedy”

The ensemble cast includes Norma Sheahan (‘Moone Boy’), Liam Carney (‘Red Rock’), Aoibhin Garrihy (‘The Fall’), Anthony Morris (‘Games of Thrones’), Seamus Hughes (‘Jimmy’s Hall’), Liam O Mochain (‘WC’), Brendan Conroy (‘Vikings’), Barbara Adair (‘Grabbers’), Sean Flanagan (‘Foil Arms & Hog’), Mary McEvoy (‘Glenroe’), Diarmuid Noyes (‘Borgia’), Lynette Callaghan (‘Cold Feet’), Olga Wehrly (‘The Clinic’), Daniel Costelloe (‘Albert Nobbs’) and Donncha Crowley (‘Fr. Ted’).
