The 8th edition of EAVE+ takes place this week (April 4-8 2018) in Luxembourg
15 experienced producers from 11 countries and 6 seasoned industry professionals will gather for 4 days to discuss the structure of their companies, useful best management practices and alternate business models.
The theme of the event is 'How to run sustainable film companies'. During immersive role-play, group work, one-to-one meetings and through an interdisciplinary approach, the EAVE+ workshop will tackle the business requirements of running an effective film company. Top-notch business and management coaches will explore topics ranging from cash management tools, leadership skills, long term company strategies, negotiations with financiers and partners, distribution models and revenue streams, to raising corporate financing from private investors.
Larry Bass, CEO of ShinAwiL (Dancing with the Stars Ireland), one of the largest independent production companies in Ireland, will share his experience in business development and address the 'ten commandments' how to successfully run a business.
Other speakers include EAVE Finance Expert Linda Beath (Ideal Filmworks, IT) and Marc Bordure (FR), General and Financial Manager of the French production company AGAT FILMS & Cie / Ex Nihilo, who will explore the topic of how to develop an efficient slate of projects. Marc Bordure will also tackle questions related to company structure and cash management tools.
