The year-long programme from the European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs focuses on the development of fiction and documentary projects.
Hayes is a producer from the IFTA-winning Galway-based production company behind drama projects ‘Eipic’, ‘Deoch an Dorais’ and ‘Rúbaí’, as well as non-fiction work such as ‘Páidi Ó Sé: Rí an Pharóiste’ and ‘Guth na nGael’.
Hayes’ work includes ‘Am an Ghátair’, which earned Mark Henry, Conall de Cléir and John Brennan the IFTA for Best Sound TV in 2013.
Louise Ní Fhiannachta’s ‘Rúbaí’, produced by Hayes, was nominated for Best Narrative Short at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2013.
The training includes three intensive weeks of professional development, running throughout 2017 for producers already working in the industry who are looking to increase their knowledge of producing and co-producing in Europe.

Topics covered in workshops led by experienced producers include script analysis, development and production financing, legal aspects of co-production, marketing, pitching, packaging and more.
Decision makers such as commissioning editors, national and regional media funds and sales agents, also join participants to discuss the projects, careers and companies of participants.
