Follow the success of the debut season, which climbed to No.1 on the Netflix Top 10 (Global) and has already racked up 255m hours viewed, Netflix has confirmed that Vikings: Valhalla will return for Seasons Two and Three.

Production of Season Two has wrapped, with the series expected to return to Netflix audiences around the world in 2023. Season Three begins production in Ireland this spring.

As such, the production is now looking for extras for the next season, which will film in and around Co. Wicklow from May through the summer this year.

“We are looking for people of ALL ages, looks, shapes, sizes and backgrounds. No previous experience needed,” a spokesperson for Vikings said. “Please only get in touch if you are resident in Ireland.”

Those interested in applying can do so by emailing extras@vhproductions.ie and requesting an application form.

Season 1 of Viking: Valhalla filmed on locations including Ashford Studios, Ashford; Luggala Estate (Lough Tay/ Viewing Point/ Meadow/ Duck Pond); Cloragh Farm, Ashford; Avondale; Nuttall’s Farm, Newtownmountkennedy; Childer’s Woods, Lough Dan; The Rookery, and Newcastle and Coolnawinna, Co Wicklow.

Jeb Stuart returns as Creator/Showrunner/Executive Producer of both Season Two and Season Three, while Sam Corlett (Leif Eriksson), Frida Gustavsson (Freydis Eriksdotter), and Leo Suter (Harald Sigurdsson), among others, will reprise their roles.

Season One of Viking: Valhalla, which is now streaming on Netflix, chronicles the heroic adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived — the legendary explorer Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), his fiery and headstrong sister Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson), and the ambitious Nordic prince Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter).

As tensions between the Vikings and the English royals reach a bloody breaking point and as the Vikings themselves clash over their conflicting Christian and pagan beliefs, these three Vikings begin an epic journey that will take them across oceans and through battlefields, from Kattegat to England and beyond, as they fight for survival and glory.

Season Two of Viking: Valhalla will return to Netflix in 2023.
