Cillian Murphy In Talks to Join Cast of John Krasinski's 'A Quiet Place' Sequel

Irish actor Cillian Murphy is in talks to boarded the sequel to John Krasinskiís box office hit ĎA Quiet Placeí.

The ‘Peaky Blinders’ star will join British actress Emily Blunt (‘Mary Poppins Returns’) and child stars Noah Jupe (‘Wonder’) and Millicent Simmonds (‘Wonderstrunk’) who are confirmed to reprise their roles as the family struggling to survive against a world infested with mysterious creatures that track down humans with their inconceivable hearing ability.   

Details surrounding the sequel remain under wraps, but The Hollywood Reporter claims that Murphy will play a man with mysterious intentions who joins the family unit.

John Krasinski (‘The Office’) will return to write and direct the project that earned over €300 million at the box office in 2018 from a modest €15 million budget. Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller will produce the film, which is expected to shoot this summer with Paramount slating a release date of May 15th, 2020.

Murphy recently reprised his role as Birmingham kingpin Thomas Shelby in BBC One’s hit crime drama ‘Peaky Blinders’, which has wrapped on its 5th season. Murphy will next feature in Luc Besson’s action-thriller ‘Anna’ alongside Luke Evans, Helen Mirren, and Sasha Luss.
