Ed Bruce and Nicholas Murphy of SSVFX were among the winners at last night's Creative Arts Emmy Awards for their work on FX's historical drama Shōgun.
Shogun was the biggest winner at Sunday’s ceremony, winning in 14 of the evening’s 49 categories.
Speaking about the win, Nicholas Murphy told IFTN: “We are absolutely delighted to win an Emmy, it is a privilege for myself and Ed to represent SSVFX in receiving the honour and be a part of the record breaking Shogun team."
"It was great working alongside Michael Cliett, FX Networks, and all the brilliant VFX crew and vendors involved, we are thrilled for all of them and this win reflects all the hard work and dedication they all put into the show, I hope everyone will share in the success and enjoy the celebrations of winning an Emmy.”
Bruce and Murphy won in the Outstanding Special Visual Effects In A Season Or A Movie category. The list of names attached to the win is as follows:

The Creative Arts ceremonies took place at the Peacock Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. The Primetime Emmy Awards take place on September 16th, where Irish talent Andrew Scott is competing for Lead Actor in a Limited Series for Ripley.
