Steven Soderbergh's upcoming spy drama Black Bag, starring Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender and Pierce Brosnan, will be released by Universal/Focus Features in March 2025.
The film will open in US cinemas on 14th March with Focus Features handling domestic and Universal Pictures handling international distribution.
The film, described as “a high-stakes mystery” will also star Regé-Jean Page, Marisa Abela, Naomie Harris and Tom Burke. The script was written by David Koepp (Jurassic Park) and is produced by Casey Silver and Greg Jacobs.
Fassbender previously appeared in Soderbergh's film Haywire, and will next be seen in Kneecap which gets its Irish release from Wildcard Distribution on 7th August. Blanchett will be seen next month in Eli Roth's Borderlands. Brosnan is currently filming the Chris Columbus-directed adaptation of Richard Osman's bestselling The Thursday Murder Club for Netflix.
