Dingle International Film Festival's Shorts Programme 2018

Irish Film Board shorts included in extensive shorts programme.

Dingle’s 12th annual celebration will showcase 60 national and international films this week from 22 – 25 March. Films were submitted from countries all around world such as Ireland, UK, France, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Poland, Iceland and Afghanistan.

The programme “Kingdom Shorts” will exhibit premiere screenings of Fiona Ní Ghrifín’s An tAthair Ó Fiannachta, The Rogue by Arjen Sinninghe Damsté, Word of Mouth from Ben Kavanagh and Silence is Golden by Kev Maye, Miriam Moriarty Owens, Selina Switzerx.

Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival will present their Best of Fest tour. Their films are a celebration of film, culture and the outdoors.

Newly funded shorts from The Irish Film Board/ Bord Scannán na hÉireann will be screened in St. James’s Church, home to the shorts filmmakers during the festival. Take Me Swimming, written by Ailbhe Keoghan and shot by Michael Kelly, includes an all Dingle cast.  

All the shorts programmes will be shown in St. James’ Church.
