Sky Road Film Festival Line-Up Announced

The Sky Road Film Festival returns Saturday October 14th and takes place in Clifden, Galway.

The festival has announced that it will be screening a selection of Irish Shorts including IFTA Award winning short animation, Second to None, which is in association with the Irish Film Board, films from the Little Cinema and Galway City of Film’s 48 Hr Challenge will also feature over the weekend. The key feature films at this year’s Film Festival will be Stephen Burke’s ‘Maze’ and this year’s Irish entry for Foreign Language film at the Oscars, ‘Song of Granite.’

Speaking about this year’s Oscar entry, Éamonn Ó Cualáin, Director and Founder of Sky Road Film Festival said:


"Joe Heaney was one of the best sean-nós singers ever to come out of
Ireland. Being a Connemara man I am proud to have the Irish Oscar
 entry for 2017 'SONG OF GRANITE' directed by Pat Collins screening at
the festival."

The festival takes place October 14th at the Station House Theatre, in Clifden, Co Galway.
