UK sales outfit Sharp Teeth have acquired several new titles for its slate ahead of Cannes Film Festival this year which takes place May 17- May 28.
This includes two documentaries including one called ‘Fractured Piece’ which explores the history of war in Northern Ireland, 100 years since the Easter Uprising.
The documentary feature was wrote, directed and produced by Algerian filmmaker Osama Rai. His previous credits include directing the 2016 documentary ‘Hadj Nacereddine Dinet’ a biography and story of Etienne Dinet , a 19th century French orientalist painter who fell in love with Algerian desert.
The second documentary acquired by Sharp Teeth focuses on Japanese craftsmanship ‘Weaving Shibusa' documents the subculture of Japanese denim and the obsession of master craftsmanship. Devin Leisher directed the film, Kiya Babzani and Devin Leisher produced.
Sharp Teeth, is a UK based company connected to Terracotta Distribution, Asian film distributors launched as a distribution outfit in August 2015.
