Irish Earn 7 Nominations for the 75th Golden Globe Awards

The nominations for this year’s Golden Globes have been announced. The Irish are in contention for several awards after earning 7 nominations for this year's 75th Golden Globe Awards.

Cartoon Saloon’s ‘The Breadwinner’ has been nominated for Best Animated Feature. Loving Vincent, which also has a number of Irish cast members, was also nominated in this category.

Martin McDonagh has picked up three Golden Globe nominations for his film ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri.

McDonagh has been nominated for Best Screenplay, Best Director, and his film has been nominated for Best Motion Picture Drama.

Caitriona Balfe picked up her third Golden Globe nomination for her role in ‘Outlander’.

‘Game of Thrones’ picked up another Golden Globe nomination for Best Television Drama.

Saoirse Ronan has been nominated for Best Actress in a lead role for Musical / Comedy, for her performance in Gretta Gerwig’s ‘Lady Bird’.
