Exploring Northern Ireland Siobhan McSweeney
Following the success of last year’s initiative, Tourism Ireland (TI) is seeking applications from Content Producers for high-quality international programming featuring Ireland for its Publicity Programming Fund.

Through the fund, Tourism Ireland wishes to emulate the success of previously supported projects including Adrian Dunbar’s Coastal Ireland (Channel 5), Exploring Northern Ireland with Siobhan McSweeney, (More 4), Burren Heart of Stone (PBS), and Voices of Ireland (Sky Arts).

With the aim of promoting the island of Ireland overseas, a number of original and innovative commercially viable projects will be awarded funding through a competitive selection process.

Up to €200,000 will be available to projects, which have secured international broadcaster/market support and highlight any (or several) of the agency’s key objectives of profiling Ireland’s: Stunning landscapes, Rich heritage and living culture, Food & drink, Soft adventure, People & characters.

Original factual programming with a destination focus (including documentary, factual entertainment, cultural and specialist factual) are likely to appeal most (and be prioritised), although other proposals are welcome. Projects with a confirmed European broadcaster are of particular interest to TI this year. The Fund is available for projects that can potentially be completed by December 2022.

Tourism Ireland has appointed Ardán to manage the application process for the Fund.

The application deadline is 3pm on Tuesday, May 31st, 2022. Please email tourismireland@ardan.ie with any enquiries.
