UGC Writers Campus by Series Mania is an intensive writing workshop conducted in English, open to upcoming screenwriters.
During a week, twenty selected writers will attend workshops, masterclasses and one-to-one sessions with experimented professionals, whom will also accompany them as mentors in the development of their project. In a final showcase, participants pitch their project to industry professionals attending Series Mania Forum.
The call for applications is now open, with all applications due for submission before 18thDecember, 2019. The next edition will take place from March 20th to 27th in Lille, France under the supervision of Lorraine Sullivan.
UGC Writers Campus by Series Mania presents a unique opportunity for international creators to develop projects. Over the course of one week, the workshop offers participants a concrete understanding of the market by focusing on the necessity to engage audiences and to answer the industry’s needs as well as addressing key dramaturgic and narrative strategies, essential to series.
At the heart of Series Mania Forum, UGC Writers Campus functions as an incubator where writers are immersed in an environment dedicated to their work with incredible access to renowned tutors, mentors and industry decision-makers. During the previous editions, Sarah Treem (In Treatment, The Affair) and André & Maria Jacquemetton (Mad Men) were invited as patrons.
