Applications Now Open for the Marketplace at the 2019 Galway Film Fair
12 Mar 2019 : News Desk
Galway Film Fleadh
The Marketplace at the Galway Film Fair co-ordinates pre-scheduled meetings between filmmakers with projects in development and/or completed films and invited Film Financiers, Distributors, Sales Agents, Broadcasters, Film Funds and Major Producers.

The Galway Film Fair has a number of unique selling points:

  • Transatlantic Bridge
  • Intimate and informal atmosphere
  • Privileged access to the world’s leading financiers
  • Showcasing new European and International cinema to leading Film Buyers, Distributors and Festival Programmers.

Alongside the marketplace, many other industry events take place at the Galway Film Fair including the Fleadh Forum, an annual industry conference, as well as masterclasses, workshops and networking events.

Testimonials:

“The Fleadh has become an important International co-production hub. That is one reason why Galway’s co-production market, the Film Fair, has become such a key networking event” - Screen International

“I attend the Fleadh regularly because I’m always finding a new filmmaker, project or producer that shows real promise to deliver on the international stage. It’s an extraordinarily useful, efficient platform to help identify what’s coming down the road and it’s a bridge for us to the greater European film community, especially those talents who have yet to be recognized.” – Eamonn Bowles, Magnolia Pictures.

To participate in the Marketplace at the Galway Film Fair, applicants must have either a project in development or a completed film/documentary. Applicants should note that priority will be given to projects which have a percentage of development and/or production finance in place.

Early bird deadline Friday April 12th at 5p.m. Fee per delegate €195

Regular deadline Friday May 31st at 5p.m. Fee per delegate €250

The Galway Film Fair takes place from 11th – 14th July 2019, as part of the 31st Galway Film Fleadh (9th – 14th July 2019, www.galwayfilmfleadh.com).
