Jane Gogan, RTÉ’s Head of Drama has announced that she will leave the broadcaster after 12 years of service.
Having previously worked as Commissioning Editor for Drama, Gogan has overseen the production of popular series such as Striking Out, Love/Hate, Amber, Raw and Rebellion to name but a few.
Gogan is expected to end her tenure with the national broadcaster once Fair City’s relocation and RTÉ’s new crime drama, ‘Taken Down’, from the creators of ‘Love/Hate’ is complete.
Speaking about her departure, Jane Gogan, RTÉ’s Head of Drama said:
"After 12 years as Commissioning Editor for Drama and, latterly, Head of Drama TV, I have decided to leave RTÉ. I would like to thank all of the people who have contributed to both the shows that I have commissioned and to Fair City. I will leave at the end of December, allowing me to work through the completion of our most recent drama commission, Taken Down, and the Fair City HD and Site move projects. I wish the many friends and colleagues I've worked with during my time at RTÉ all success for the future".
