The upcoming event is a spotlight on Ireland’s participation in the Creative Europe programme and looking forward to 2020. It takes place Friday, July 21st from 16:00-18:30 in the Galway City Museum, during the Galway International Arts Festival.
The Creative Europe Mini-Showcase is free, although registration via the link below is required.
Galway’s hard work was rewarded last year when it was announced that it had won the bid for hosting European Capital of Culture in 2020. The work is ongoing now as the team and the community prepare for the year-long cultural programme that will highlight the richness and diversity of cultures in Europe and celebrate our shared culture and values and experience as European citizens.
With this special focus on European collaboration in Galway we thought it is an opportune time to spotlight Ireland’s involvement in European culture projects supported by the Creative Europe culture sub-programme.
Three Irish projects will share their experiences of transnational culture projects, the joys, the pitfalls and why they do it. This mini-showcase will be followed by a panel discussion hosted by Benita Lipps of the DaVinci Institute followed by a networking drinks reception.
