The Irish crime drama set in North Dublin is set to screen at the third edition of the Manchester Film Festival which runs from March 3rd-6th.
IFTA-nominated actor John Connors (Love/Hate, King of the Travellers) stars as Jason Connolly in the title, which he co-wrote with Mark O’Connor.
It is produced by Richard Bolger of Five Knight Films and is also set to release to Irish cinemas in the coming months, distributed by Wildcard Distribution.
Connolly is the leader of a gang who moves up the ranks of drug dealing in Darndale, while trying to take over control of the area from another gang.
‘Cardboard Gangsters’ also stars Gemma-Leah Devereux (Property of the State), Lydia McGuinness (Sing Street) and Kierston Wareing (100 Streets).
