Producers can submit projects for the market up until Wednesday October 12th.
The festival runs from February 12th-14th 2017 and is aimed at experienced producers whose feature films have a budget of €1-12M, which are suitable for international co-production and have 30% of financing already secured.
Exceptions will be made to regions supported by the Berlinale’s World Cinema Fund, which will be eligible for entry with budgets of at least €750,000.This exception is also extended to Greece, Spain, Portugal and Southeast Europe.
Approximately 25 projects will be selected from those submitted to the Berlinale Co-Production, with over 1,100 one-on-one meetings will be organised for the selected projects with potentially interested co-producers, financiers, world sales agents, distributors as well as representatives of TV channels and funding bodies.
Irish projects featured at the 2015 market include Mark Noonan’s ‘Tyger, Tyger’ and Lorcan Finnegan‘s ‘Vivarium’.
