Sharon Horgan and Graham Norton nominated for BAFTA Television Awards

The 2016 BAFTA Television Award nominations have been announced with Irish actress Sharon Horgan and Irish television presenter Graham Norton both receiving nods this year.

Actress/writer Sharon Horgan has been nominated in the category of Female Performance in a Comedy Programme for her role in the Channel 4 comedy ‘Catastrophe’, which has also earned her a nomination for Best Writer Comedy at the BAFTA Craft Television Awards, which will take place April 24. ‘Catastrophe’ also earned Horgan two IFTA Gala Television Awards in October 2015 – for Best Actress and Best Writer.

Irish television presenter and comedian Graham Norton has been nominated for Best Entertainment Performance for his BBC One show The Graham Norton Show. Norton has won in this category seven times before (out of eight nominations) including a win in 2015.

The BAFTA Television Awards will take place Sunday 8 May at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
