Tile Films announce slate of productions heading to MIPCOM 2015

‘Paramedics’ is one of a number of acclaimed titles Tile Films are bringing to MIPCOM
Irish Television Production Company Tile Films is bringing an attractive slate of drama and documentary productions to MIPCOM 2015, which takes place 5-8 October 2015 in Cannes.

Tile Films specialises in high-end dramas, docudramas and documentaries on history, religion, archaeology, culture and people. The company’s past productions include the acclaimed ‘Paramedics’, ‘Waterloo’s Warriors’, ‘After Braveheart’, ‘Sacred Sites: Ireland’, ‘Saving the Titanic’, and ‘Clear the Way’.

Tile Films head for the MIPCOM TV Festival in Cannes next week, where they will showcase an impressive slate of productions including:

  • ‘Wrecking the Rising’ - 3 x 1 hour HD drama series (due for delivery March 2016)
  • ‘Seven Women’ - 1 hour HD documentary (due for delivery February 2016)
  • ‘Aerial Ireland’ - 1 hour HD documentary (due for delivery in 2016).
  • ‘Sacred Sites of the World’ - 6 x 1 hour HD documentary series (Episode one Completed 2014/ Further five episodes currently in production and due for delivery in 2016)
  • ‘Death or Liberty’ - 2 x 1 hour HD docudrama series (Completed 2015)
  • ‘Waterloo’s Warriors’ - 2 x 1 hour HD docudrama series (Completed 2015)
  • ‘After Braveheart’ - 2 x 1 hour HD docudrama series (Completed 2014)
  • ‘In the Name of the Republic’ - 2 x 45min HD documentary series (Completed 2013)

Representing Tile Films at the Market in Cannes are Managing Director, Stephen Rooke, and head of development, David Ryan.

Stephen Rooke said: “We’ve got an exciting slate of projects to bring to MIPCOM 2015. We also have several really interesting projects in development which we hope to move forward while we’re in Cannes. I've been attending MIPCOM festivals since 2003 and this really is the best place to realise projects through partnerships with broadcasters, co-producers and distributors.”

Tile Films’ latest 2 x 1 hour docudrama series, ‘Bás Nó Saoirse’ (‘Death or Liberty’) will be broadcast on October 6th and 13th on TG4 at 9.30pm. Filmed in stunning 5K, the series tells the story of the Irish patriots who challenged the might of the British Empire. Check out IFTN’s article on the show here.
