Sky Road TV & Film Festival has teamed up with TG4 for the second year to give the general public a chance to pitch their story/idea to make a 25 minute documentary.
The Sky Road TV & Film Festival takes place from 9-11 October 2015. The deadline for submissions is Friday, 18th September with organisers stating that 12 entries will be shortlisted for the competition next month.
Selected entrants must be available on the 10th & 11th October 2015. The winning pitch does not receive a commission from TG4, a development fund is offered but the winner will receive a €1000 to develop their idea for entry into a TG4 commissioning round.
Documentary ideas will only be considered for the pitching competition and applicants must state how they can tell their story in the Irish language. The pitch can however be given in either Irish or English and stage props, photographs, music or a trailer can be used. Selected entrants will also be required to answer questions from the panel and the audience.
The entry fee to apply is €10 and the deadline for submissions is Friday, 18th September. To apply, visit http://www.skyroadfilmfestival.ie/pitching-session/.
