The Festival team are already preparing for the event with more awards and guest speakers slated for this year’s festival. The full schedule is set to be announced in the coming months.
The Festival’s managing director Liz Kenny said: ‘Last year we had the most successful festival in 2014 since its inception, seeing bigger screen and workshop attendances, proving that the Fingal Film Festival is the best Independent Festival to have your work seen by large audiences. This year will see a similar event structure to previous years, but with a few new surprises. The team are working hard to give independent Filmmakers a whole new Film Festival experience this year and promises to make 2015 a year to remember.’
Dave Byrne, Creative Director of the festival said: ‘We are doing a lot of other work behind the scenes to ensure the films of emerging filmmakers are viewed by a wider audience, beyond the festival programme. We hope to be in a position to announce these plans in the coming months, as it is our main objective to be a voice for emerging talent on the National and International landscape, promoting emerging talent, enabling them to build their profile.’
