The Snackbox Sessions is a networking event for filmmakers by filmmakers about the business of filmmaking. It’s an evening of conversation and audience led questions with some of the film industry’s leading decision makers. So, whether you’re a film student wanting to learn more about the business, a fledgling writer or filmmaker trying to get your film made, a film buff with a love of all things celluloid, or an industry pro with a desire to meet new and emerging talent within the film industry, this event is for you.
Colm Nicell, Co-Founder of the production company Snackbox Films, says: “The event will be an opportunity for new and emerging talent, as well as people already working in the industry, to learn from and share their experiences with people from all facets of the business side of the Irish film industry. It will be hosted by Alison Crinion Communications Director of Lovemovies.ie with all proceeds on the night going to the Cinema Workers Benevolent Fund.”
The panellists are James Hickey, Chief Executive of The Irish Film Board; Brendan McCaul, former Vice President of Buena Vista Ireland; Audrey Shiels, head of distribution for Element Pictures; and Gar O’ Brien, Progammer of The Galway Film Fleadh.
The event will take place on Monday 28th of July at The Sugar Club, 8 Lower Leeson Street, Dublin 2 from 19:30 - 21:30 (doors open 19:00).
