Lance Daly’s feel-good comedy ‘Life’s A Breeze’ is now available to buy and rent on DVD throughout Ireland.
The film which is directed and written by Lance Daly (‘Kisses’) showcases a host of Irish acting talent including Pat Shortt, Fionnula Flanagan and newcomer Kelly Thornton.
The film premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh in July, with Kelly Thornton winning the Bingham Ray New Talent Award and the film was awarded second place in Best Irish Feature category.
Since its premiere it has screened at festivals around the world including the Toronto International Film Festival and Busan Film Festival in South Korea.
It will screen later this month at the London Irish Film Festival and will be the Gala Movie at the Richard Harris Film Festival in Limerick on December 6th.
‘Life’s A Breeze’ follows one family’s search for the grandmother’s life savings when the mattress they were hidden inside is thrown out – sparking a nationwide hunt for the lost fortune.
Other cast members include Eva Birthistle, Gerry McCann, Philip Judge, Lesley Conroy, Peter Coonan, Paul Ronan and Brian Gleeson, with cameos from Ryan Tubridy and Joe Duffy’s voice on the radio.
Pat Shortt will star alongside Domhnall Gleeson and Chris O’Dowd in ‘Calvary’ which will be release next year.
Kelly Thornton has since appeared in the opening episiode of ‘Love/Hate’ season 4. She starred alongside her younger sister Robyn as siblings who were abducted by Nidge.
The film is an Irish-Swedish co-production between Fastnet Films and Anagram Produktions, produced by Fastnet’s Macdara Kelleher, Tomas Eskilsson and Martin Persson of Anagram Produktion.
It was produced with the support of the Irish Film Board and the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland and was distributed in Ireland by Wildcard Distribution.
Life’s A Breeze is available now available to buy in outlets throughout Ireland including Tesco, Xtravision, HMV, Golden Discs, Tower Records and the IFI.
