The 12 x one hour drama series ‘Titanic: Untold Story of How it All Began’ will begin filming in Dublin in mid-September. The Italian production behind the drama series is The DeAngelis Group, with Irish company EPOS films co-producing the project.
Produced by Guido deAngelis (Dr. Clown, Ti stramo) and co-produced by Paul Myler (In America, Laws of Attraction), the series recounts the story of the birth of the Titanic, beginning in 1897 when construction of the luxury liner began. The series will be directed by IFTA winning Irish director Ciaran Donnelly (Camelot, The Tudors).
Filming on ‘Titanic: Untold Story of How it All Began’ will begin in Serbia in Mid-August, where it will shoot for five weeks. The project will then return to Ireland to film in and around Dublin form mid-September up until Christmas.
A range of big name talents are rumoured to be attached to the ambitious project but Irish co-producer Paul Myler says he cannot confirm any names as cast are in the final stages of negotiations.
Further filming details, crew and cast will be announced on IFTN within the coming weeks.
