Tiny Fey & Amy Poehler Reunite for Comedy Feature Film
A new Universal comedy called ‘The Nest’ is in development with Amy Poehler and Tina Fey signed up to play two sisters in their 30s who, upon discovering their parents’ house has been put up for sale, decide to spend a last wild weekend together. Fey has been attached for some months while Poehler is in final negotiations to star in the feature.
The script is based on an original idea by Paula Pell, and this will be her debut screenplay. ‘Pitch Perfect’ director Jason Moore is on board while Fey will produce through her Little Stranger company beside Jay Roach and his Everyman Pictures. Poehler will executive produce.
Fey and Poehler have worked on several projects together including ‘Mean Girls’ and ‘Baby Mama’, and they appeared on ‘SNL’ together from 2001 to 2006. They also co-hosted the Golden Globes ceremony for the last two years in a row.
Tribeca Jury Announced
The Tribeca Film Festival has announced the 33 jury members that will adjudicate the 2014 event. The jury includes a wide range of film industry professionals, including actors, directors, producers and screenwriters. Lake Bell, Catherine Hardwicke, Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, Whoppi Goldberg, Toni Collette, Paul Wesley and Gary Ross are among the jurors.
The jurors have been divided into categories to judge the film festival’s competitions, which include a World Narrative and World Documentary Competition, Emerging Competition categories, Short Film Competition categories, the Bombay Sapphire Award and the Nora Ephron Prize. Trailer for ‘Chef’
Jon Favreau, the man behind the ‘Iron Man’ blockbuster trilogy, once again stars in and directs (and also writes) this latest feature called ‘Chef’. On a much humbler scale than the superhero franchise, ‘Chef’ guarantees laughs and feel-good factor from the trailer released. ‘Chef’ is an Open Road, Fairview Entertainment and Aldamisa Entertainment production.
The comedy feature stars Scarlett Johansson, Bobby Canavale, John Leguizamo, Sofia Vergara, Robert Downey Jr. and Dustin Hoffman. Favreau plays a talented chef who is frustrated at having his creativity restrained in his job at a major LA restaurant. He quits and decides to launch a food truck with his family and friends, including his son, ex-wife (Vergara) and best mate (Leguizamo).
'Chef' will be released in Ireland on May 9th 2014. See the trailer below:
