#IFTNFestival: Irish Film at the Online 2021 European Film Market

The 2021 Online European Film Market (EFM) at Berlinale is underway with a number of Irish productions featuring. The EFM runs from 1st-5th March.

Screen Ireland will spearhead the Irish entourage that are attending the online market by hosting a Virtual Stand the Irish Film 2021 stand at the European Film Market (EFM). The virtual stand will also include information about filming in Ireland, financial incentives and co-production.

There are a number of Irish productions slated to sell at the EFM. Ivan Kavanagh’s Son, produced by Park Films is being handled by Altitude Films and is also the only Irish title screening at EFM.

Vivarium director Lorcan Finnegan brings Nocebo (Lovely Productions) to the market, handled by XYZ Films, whilst Bankside are handling sales for three Irish features, Pure Grit (Underground Films), directed by Kim Bartley, L.O.L.A (Cowtown Pictures) directed by Andrew Legge, and Nathalie Biancheri’s Wolf (Feline Films). Richter / The Gone writen by Anna McPartlin will pitch at the Co-Pro Series at the market. News at EFM was also announced that Paul Mescal (Normal People) will star in Tailored Films' Bring Them Down.  

Meanwhile Conor McMahon’s Let The Wrong One In (Tailored Films) handled by MPI Media Group, Philip Doherty’s Redemption of a Rogue (Pale Rebel Productions) handled by Wildcard Distribution, Brendan Muldowney’s The Cellar (Savage Productions) handled by Epic Pictures, Grace Sweeney’s The Sherriff (Below the Radar) handled by Kew Films, and Castro’s Spies (Gambit Pictures) directed by Ollie Aslin & Gary Lennon, handled by Submarine will all sell at the Market.  Irish indie film Poster Boys is also being sold by Kaleidoscope at EFM.
