Cuba’s Wild Revolution
Irish production company Crossing the Line Productions has received multiple nominations at this year’s News and Documentary Emmy Awards for its documentary Cuba’s Wild Revolution.

Produced for PBS & Thirteen Productions LLC, ORF, BBC, RTÉ, France TV, SVT, DR, YLE & ORF Enterprises the blue-chip documentary features the wildlife and wild places of Cuba, as never seen before. The team are thrilled to be shortlisted for Outstanding Nature Documentary, Outstanding Cinematography: Documentary, and Outstanding Sound.

Filmed over two years, Cuba’s Wild Revolution reveals how sympathetic government polices allied to 60 years of blockades and isolation have helped preserve a time capsule of unspoiled vistas and habitats on the Caribbean’s largest island outpost.

“We’re thrilled that our team has been recognised for excellence in their fields, and to be bringing Irish productions to such large international audiences,” said producer Cepa Giblin. “Cuba is a truly unique country, and we were delighted to be able to showcase its natural beauty”.

This is the 13th Emmy nomination for the company who most recently accepted the News and Documentary Emmy Award for Outstanding Science and Technology Documentary for The Farthest – Voyager in Spacedocumentary celebrating the scientists and engineers behind NASA’s Voyager mission to the outer planets.

Cuba’s Wild Revolution was produced with the support of incentives for the Irish Film Industry provided by the Government of Ireland and developed with the support of the Creative Europe MEDIA Programme.
