IFI Doc Fest Announces Call for Entries for Irish Documentary Filmmakers
09 May 2018 : Nathan Griffin
The IFI have released a call for entries from Irish Documentarians interested in submitting to this year’s IFI Documentary Festival.

Running from Thursday, Sept. 27th to Sunday, Sept. 30th, the IFI Doc Fest is looking for original and exciting documentary films from Irish filmmakers to be included in the 2018 festival.

So if your film fits the bill, now is the time to prepare your entries as submissions are open for Irish short documentaries (under 20 minutes), and Irish feature-length documentaries (over 60 minutes).

Entry into the festival is free and filmmakers are encouraged to submit before the deadline on Wednesday, June 20th, 2018.

Interested filmmakers should also check out the guidelines for eligibility – here – before entering.
Now in its 17th year, the IFI Documentary Festival has hosted premieres for a number of important Irish documentaries including ‘Kevin Roche: The Quiet Architect’, ‘In a House that Ceased to Be’, ‘Mattress Men’ and ‘The Liberties’. International hits such as ‘Whose Streets?’,A Syrian Love Story’ and ‘The Imposter’, have all had their Irish premiere at the festival, which has attracted many guest filmmakers from around the world to present and discuss their work over the years.

The IFI Documentary Festival is financial supported by the Arts Council.
