2017 Kerry Film Festival Open for Submissions

The festival will run from October 19th-22nd in Killarney, Co. Kerry and is currently accepting entries in seven categories, with a deadline of July 14th.

Filmmakers are asked to submit on Film Freeway via the link below, with a hi-res still image and fifteen word synopsis. Only short films which are twenty minutes or less in duration will be accepted, while feature submissions must be sixty minutes or over.

Where projects have been filmed in Kerry or have an original score, filmmakers are asked to note this in order to be considered in those awards categories.

Other categories are: International Narrative Short, Irish Narrative Short, Documentary Short, Student Short and Animation.

  • Best International Narrative: Dreaming of Peggy Lee
  • Best Documentary: Soul of a Tree
  • Best Animation: Hugo Bumfeldt
  • Best Student Award: Offside
  • Best Score: Connection Lost (The Tinder Opera)
  • Best Irish Narrative: Homecoming
