‘The Lobster’ is up for Best Edited Feature Film (Comedy) and ‘Kubo & The Two Strings’ is nominated in the Best Edited Animated Feature Film category at this years Eddie Awards, from the American Cinema Editors (ACE) guild.
'The Lobster' Directed by Yorgos Mavropsaridis and starring Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz. Is a Fantasy/Science fiction romance film which was shot in various locations across Kerry, Cork and Dublin. It will be up against other nominations ‘Deadpool’, ‘Hail Caesar!’, ‘The Jungle Book’ and ‘La La Land’ in the category for Best Edited Feature Film (Comedy).
Donegal’s Art Parkinson voices the main character of Kubo in ‘Kubo & The Two Strings’ which is nominated against ‘Moana’ and ‘Zootopia’ in the Best Edited Animated Feature Film category.
In the best edited feature film (dramatic) category, ‘Manchester by the Sea’ editor Jennifer Lame and ‘Moonlight’ editors Nat Sanders and Joi McMillon are up against the editors of ‘Arrival’, ‘Hacksaw Ridge’ and ‘Hell or High Water’.
Eddie winners will be announced at the 67th Annual ACE Eddie Awards ceremony in Beverly Hills on the 27th January 2017.
