Fermoy is a small town situated in the centre of the lush Blackwater Valley. It is an extremely busy Market Town set around its famous stone bridge. There is a river walkway beginning here and going on for miles offering good opportunities for filming.

Fermoy is renowned for its attraction as an inland fishing centre and has an international appeal for trout, salmon and coarse fishing, the Blackwater and Funshion rivers being the main waters, and a coarse fishery being developed near the town at Knockannig Reservoir.

Distance from Cork: 30 minutes
