'Finding Joy' to Premiere on ABC Television After Deal With Acorn Media International

Acorn Media International (AMI) have announced that the new partnership with Australian broadcaster ABC TV, will see Amy Huberman’s ‘Finding Joy’ premiere on iView followed by ABC Comedy.

Huberman writes and stars in the Irish comedy, which was produced by Irish production company, Treasure Entertainment, and aired on RTÉ in October.

The six-part comedy series follows Joy, a recently dumped, newly appointed chief lifestyle vlogger and writer for ‘News Today’. Tasked with investigating spiritual retreats, abseiling and other pursuits not pursued by everyday folk, Joy’s world is literally turned upside down.

AMI’s deal with ABC also sees the thrilling Welsh drama ‘Keeping Faith’ head to the platform after the drama’s success following an AMI deal for premiere rights with BBC First in Australia and UK TV in New Zealand  

Speaking about the deal, AMI’s Australian General Manager, Darrien Puddy said:

“ABC TV is a fabulous home for quality international shows so it’s fitting that Australian audiences will be able to watch Finding Joy and Keeping Faith here. Our great and varied content is helping us develop successful partnerships with Australian broadcasters and with lots more quality programming in the pipeline this year and beyond we expect to be announcing more sales soon.”

The company also announced they have penned a deal with BBC One for both Series One and Series Two of their gritty, gripping police drama ‘London Kills’.
