Talent Manager

High Res are an award winning creative design house across broadcast, film and live events.  Primarily set up as a Lighting Design practice, High Res has evolved into one of Europe’s leading Virtual Production specialists, providing a client service both on a local and international level across the film and television industry.

We are experienced integrated solutions providers in this area, having secured large episodic contracts for Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV+ and a number of film production companies. 

Virtual Production workflows require highly skilled personnel and so to this end High Res are seeking an experienced Talent Manager to join our in-house team to facilitate in the management and resourcing of such specialist crew.

The position requires a communicative individual with the ability to network and build relationships with both creative talent and clients.  The candidate’s primary objective is to assist in managing crew on High Res projects (specialised technicians & operators), as well as to actively identify new talent in the sector and help shepherd them into the crew talent pool.

The successful candidate would be responsible for administrative tasks such as compiling crew call sheets, travel itineraries, shoot schedules, NDA’s, deal memos.  This role requires a candidate with a positive attitude and with the ability to respond efficiently to requests and to communicate effectively.  This position allows for the Talent Manager to work with a collaborative team, interacting with Line Producers, Producers, VFX/VP Supervisors and other such creative Head of Departments.  The Talent Manager will be responsible for managing the overall agency relationship across the freelance, contract, part and full time crew pool, acting as a trusted link between High Res and the client.

The successful candidate requires a strong work ethic.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage solid working relationships with freelance talent
  • Scout and assess new talent seeking representation to build on the current roster
  • Identify and understand the importance of building and training a team that can deliver on a client brief
  • Develop creative recruitment solutions to attract and source talented early career professionals
  • Issue detailed trip itineraries and call sheets inclusive of air, hotel, ground transportation details
  • Keep track on where people are and what their availability looks like at any given time
  • Assist with deal memos, crew quotations and budget negotiations
  • Oversee crew billing from advance to final invoicing
  • Assist with crew requirements such as visas, permits, certs etc.

Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in your application you will possess the following:

  • Professional experience working within the creative industries
  • Previous agency desk experience is preferred
  • Operations planning and delivery experience preferred
  • Successful track record for building effective relationships and fostering new ones
  • Be driven and have ability to identify new talent to grow the roster
  • Deal with production company, studio and network executives, whilst understanding the importance of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Time management abilities to prioritise work to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and networking skills, with the know how to follow up and follow through
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and be reactive to last minute changes
  • Ability to work unsupervised and to a high standard
  • This role requires advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint
