Online Editor Screen Scene – 6 Month Contract

NEP is a leading worldwide provider of solutions to the broadcast and live event industries offering technical and creative services for outside broadcast, studio production, video display, host broadcasting and post production.
Screen Scene Group is part of this NEP worldwide network. We offer post production services to the feature, broadcast, digital and commercials marketplace.
Screen Scene has an exemplary history of delivering broadcast television, features, and drama to the highest standards around the world. The online department plays a key part in this, and therefore requires highly skilled and diverse operators to maintain this standard.
The Role Requirements
- Bring a mixture of creativity, technical ability, and client skills to the role. Must be flexible and open, with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow a client brief or work directly with the client, utilizing your own initiative to complete the finishing of projects up to a broadcasting standard
- Comfortable in taking full ownership of each project. Display confident problem solver skills with a positive attitude and an eagerness to own the role.
- Have a full understanding of post-production workflows. Keep up to date with recording of work on the system, ensuring all client work is correctly entered into the system.
- Conform material for multiple formats and camera sources.
- Create titles and end roller/card in line with broadcasting standards.
- Ability to forge and maintain positive client relationships. The client must always feel reassured and have full confidence in the operator. This positive relationship goes hand in hand with effect client management skills.
- Flexible in terms of working hours is a requirement of the role. Occasional weekend work required. Self-management in terms of time management and workload is essential. Ensure to keep abreast of the schedule and develop good lines of communication with the booking team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both clients, freelance operators and colleagues is vital.
- Understand and comply with new and existing processes and policies.
- Work with colleagues towards a common goal; thank and encourage staff as appropriate, foster a One Team mentality.
Skills / Qualifications
- A thorough working knowledge of Avid Media Composer is essential
- Previous experience using Da Vinci Resolve is preferred but not essential.
- Developing communication and client facing skills.
- Good time management skills and ability to work to very tight deadlines. Ability to work well under pressure.
This role is for an experienced operator, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
