Windmill Lane VFX is evolving and we’re looking for experienced multi-disciplined 3D Artists to be at the heart of our new team. This is an opportunity for you to be involved in shaping the future of our VFX offering, working on a range of feature films and TV drama, in an environment where your voice will be heard.

You’ll be joining a busy and diverse crew of creative people at our location in the heart of Dublin,which also houses our renowned post-production and audio studios.

Please note that applicants must be eligible to work in the EEA.

The role is a multitasker who can work in a variety of areas such as 3D modelling, texturing, animation, lighting, rendering and FX. This multidiscipline individual is experienced in all phases of VFX production and pipeline proficient. 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Asset Creation – modelling, texturing, shader development, lighting, look dev and 3d Animation 
  • Creation of scenes and environments including lighting and atmospheric effects to be composited
  • Motion graphics creation for Feature Film and TV Drama
  • Rendering elements for compositing with Arnold
  • Working closely with the team to achieve outstanding VFX and deliver on time 

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 5 years industry experience in a studio setting
  • Proven artistic ability across multiple CG disciplines including modelling, texturing, lighting, shading / look development, tracking and or compositing.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Lead creation of outstanding artwork within a shot, using various software programs
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high pressure environment
  • Maintain or exceed a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work
  • Attend dailies and participate in creative problem solving
  • Proficient in Maya and Mari essential to the role,  Houdini a plus
  • Render experience with Arnold essential other render engines a plus
