Packed.House is seeking to hire a Digital Content Creator. This is a unique opportunity to join our Creative team where you’ll be producing high-end audio, video & written content for some of Ireland’s biggest websites across sports, entertainment, family, and beauty.

What kind of person are we looking for?

The ideal candidate is creative and detail-oriented. We need a cross-media operator with experience in every area of audio & video production. This includes editing, shooting, recording, interviewing, and managing the logistics of a shoot from pre-production to distribution.

What would I be responsible for?

• Managing pre-production process including shot listing, devising briefs, kit hire, and booking crew.
• Participate in the development of story ideas by researching, location scouting, casting, and securing interviewees.
• Overseeing edits and final deliverables in post-production
• Working with the wider editorial teams across sports, entertainment, family, and beauty content to determine video needs/content creation.
• Work with the team to brainstorm brilliant ideas.
• Produce storyboards, scripts, and treatments.
• Writing editorial articles across all four PH websites.
• Hands-on creation of content including podcasts, video, and social media posts.
• Keep up to date on digital consumption trends and being an expert at how to engage people online.
• Work as a core member of the creative team on creating content and always maintaining a high-quality output of your work.
• Know our audience, determine their behaviour patterns on social media, develop distribution strategies, catch their attention, and inspire them with our content.

What kind of skills should I have?  

• Have experience in pre-production and planning.  
• Have a strong working knowledge of Adobe software such as Audition, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
• A good understanding of colour temperature and grading.
• Organised with file and data management.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends when required.
• Shooting skills – able to demonstrate great creative shot choices.
• Sound production experience an advantage.
• Have a good understanding of design thinking principles.
• Be a ‘content champion’; if you make videos in your own spare time then this is the gig for you.
• Be a team player and self-starter at the same time.
• Ability to work collaboratively on set in multiple roles  
• Curious about content and media trends in the digital world.

What qualifications and experience should I have?

• 2+ years relevant professional experience, working for a production company, agency or major broadcaster.
• Good knowledge of DSLR and/or broadcast camera equipment.
• A passion for visual story telling with strong creative instincts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with content creators, PR agencies, brands, and internal stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of pre and post-production from ideas stage to delivery.
• A third-level qualification in Media, TV, Film, Digital or related area desired.
