  • Research new techniques to meet these needs when necessary, always staying up to date with new emerging technologies.
  • Extend our farm submission, management and configuration tools and processes (currently using Thinkbox's Deadline).
  • Extend our Production Tracking software (currently Shotgun) and asset publishing system.
  • Support, maintain and debug core pipeline tools and workflows to ensure stability and usability.
  • Create new documentation and maintain our existing repository explaining our processes and tools.
  • Work with software developers and the rest of our IT team to deploy, test and debug new hardware and software.

Ideal Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in animation or visual effects for film or television with a solid understanding of the VFX pipeline.
  • Experience supporting a render farm dispatch software tool (Thinkbox's Deadline)
  • Experience in developing tools and extending functionality/usability for common DCC packages such as Maya, Houdini, Mari or Nuke.
  • Strong experience in python.
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Software development experience with Visual Studio Code, and with source control systems like GitLab
  • Multi-platform support and development experience. Linux (CentOS), Windows and OSX.
  • Ideally a degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics or other related field.
