Moetion Films is currently seeking to hire storyboard artists for our upcoming CGI feature film

Position commences June 25th 2018.

Location: Galway

This role involves working as part the film’s storyboard team and liaising closely with the film directors as well as other artists and relevant production departments. You will be required to spend one week with other artists and the film directors on the co-production team in Germany period in early July.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • 2- 4 years professional storyboarding experience.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling in storyboard format.
  • Competent at CGI storyboarding with knowledge of stereoscopic needs.
  • Must possess strong drawing skills, character posing acting and location layouts.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of and competence in style of the film.
  • Competence to carry out re-takes on own sequences.
  • Skilled Storyboard Pro user.
  • Ability to pre-time own sequences.
  • Strong time-management skills.
  • Strong team player.

 

KEY TASKS

  • Read and develop a complete understanding of the film script in order to develop the storyboard sequences.
  • Discuss the storyboard and relevant sequences with the directors and follow their notes as required.
  • Address any problems with the directors/supervisor and ask relevant questions.
  • Communicate progress of work to storyboard supervisor and/or appropriate production staff.
  • Ensure quality and style of the film is consistently achieved in storyboard work.
  • Complete first pass of storyboard sequences including any revisions required within clearly defined timeframes.
  • Revise & Clean up storyboard sequences taking into account the director’s notes.
  • Adhere to the file management production’s requirements (i.e. file naming, publishing on Shotgun).
  • Respect all deadlines as determined by the director or relevant production department.
