TV3 requires a Press Officer

Main Purpose of Job:

TV3 is looking for a Press Officer to join its Press & Publicity team. Reporting into the Senior Press Officer, as part of the broader Communications team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional media coverage in support of TV3’s content, schedule and talent. An avid social media expert, you will be adept at landing effective communications across owned and earned platforms and will have an extensive network of media contacts.

A skilled copywriter, you will be responsible for drafting press releases on a daily basis that deliver key messages for TV3 Group channels and programming and with incredible attention to detail you will ensure timely weekly delivery of programme listings to press and EPG providers.

Working in a fast paced and dynamic media environment you will have a great ability to multi-task, handling several projects at once.

Overview

• Responsible for media activities for all TV3 Group talent and shows.
• Write press releases, liaise with third party agents and handle journalist enquiries.
• Have excellent relationships with key media contacts.
• Assist in the delivery of TV3’s social media strategy and communications.
• Compile and distribute television listings weekly for TV3, 3e and be3.
• Review daily media coverage of the company, and industry related issues, and report to the relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in managing the publicity profiles for all TV3 Group on-air talent.
• Negotiate and secure interviews, photo calls appearances and relationships with show sponsors.
• Assist in the co-ordination of TV3 Group events
• Work alongside other areas in the Communications team, specifically Marketing, Promotions and Creative to develop and execute imaginative media activities that promote TV3 Group channels and programming.

Employee Specification

Essential:

• At least 3 years PR experience, with preference for agency or broadcast experience
• Relevant 3rd level qualification
• Ability to work across the Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Adept at building and maintaining relationships with a range of different stakeholders
• A passion for Press; well organised and able to handle pressure
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Professional experience and persona
