Element Pictures Distribution requres a Publicity Assistant
Element Pictures is headed by Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe, with offices in Dublin and London, encompassing film and television production, distribution, and exhibition. Element Pictures Distribution handles StudioCanal’s slate in Ireland as well as direct acquisitions. Notable releases include Lenny Abrahamson's Academy Award® and Golden Globe Award-winning ROOM, and Yorgos Lanthimos’ THE LOBSTER and recently THE KILLING OF A SACRED DEER. In 2011, EPD released The Guard (John Michael McDonagh), which became one of the highest grossing independent Irish films of all time, with a cumulative box office of €4m+.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Working closely with Head of Publicity to devise & implement publicity strategies across all titles
- Assist at premiere and press screenings, to include maintaining RSVP list, co-ordinate overall running of event, contacting photo-desks
- Help co-ordinate and schedule press junkets in Ireland and UK
- Organise and file daily stream of press clippings
- Co-ordinating travel and other essential arrangements for film junkets and tours
- Researching publicity contacts and helping to keep database contacts up-to-date
- Pitching press interviews and reviews
- Ensure all publicity assets are delivered in a timely fashion, images, press packs, EPK footage
- Responsible for publicity campaign on all home-entertainment and on-demand titles
- Co-ordinate regional press activity on a film by film basis
- Any other ad-hoc duties as they arise
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Relevant work experience, preferably in a PR or Marketing role
- Strong interest in film
- Solid writing and communication skills
- Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, organised, able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines in a fast -paced environment
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel
- Flexible work schedule, must be able to assist at events scheduled in the evenings and on weekends when required
