Eco Eye requires an Intern / Production Assistant

The role will involve assisting with research, scheduling, co-ordination, shoot preparation and logistics. The intern will work closely with the small Eco Eye production team over the course of the production process. 

*This internship does not involve making coffee. It will be hands on production work only. The chosen candidate will gain significant experience in a range of rolls during the busy production process, from pre-production, researcher, scheduling, logistics, assisting with location filming, post-production data management and archive, publicity etc.  The intern will gain significant practical experience in all stages of the production workflow.  While we are looking for enthusiastic hard working applicants, we are not expecting any more than 40hrs per week on average. 
 
Education and Skills requirements 

  • Minimum - degree qualification in media or journalism or similar
  • relevant qualification 
  • Strongly motivated to work in factual television and documentary 
  • Strong computer skills, Office, Mac etc. 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Proven research skills and nose for story 
  • Highly interested in environment issues 
  • Passionate about documentary and factual television production 
  • Motivated to work hard and learn the industry from the ground up

We will be looking to take on one intern in July/ August 2017 for a six
month placement. 

Wages/salary
This is an unpaid internship; However a daily stipend will be paid to reimburse for all general expenses, food, phone and travel costs. 
Ideally candidates will have a reasonably good transport link to the Dublin 2 offices.
