TV3 requires a Brand Partnerships Group Head

Job Title: Brand Partnerships Group Head
Main Purpose of Job: To maximise TV3 Group’s sponsorship and non-spot revenues and continue to position Virgin Media Solutions as a market leader in the brand solutions area. 

Responsible to: Head of Sales – Virgin Media Solutions
Liaison with: Customers, Colleagues, Industry Practitioners 

  • Responsible for the strategic management of the brand partnerships division of the TV3 commercial team, ensuring delivery of agreed targets and objectives in this area
  • Co-ordinate the sponsorship,  promotional, licensing,  AFP and product placement sales efforts, as well as working closely with the digital and social media teams to create total communication packages for clients
  • Management of a team of 10+
  • Responsible for regular financial reporting, analysis and presentations to the TV3 senior management team
  • Responsible for driving day to day engagement with new and existing clients
  • Developing new revenue streams for the business
  • Regular presentations to agencies and advertisers
  • Working closely with the Director of Programming and show producers to drive Advertiser Funded Programming and additional branded content opportunities
  • Manage and develop the Commercial Production Unit, maximising its revenue generation potential
  • Drive development of external industry events and seminars alongside the Head of Sales and TV3 marketing team

The above list is not exhaustive. You will be expected to perform duties as necessitated by your changing role and the overall business objectives of the Company, as directed.

Employee Specification

Essential

  • Must have at least 8 years’ experience in a media sales role
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a Sponsorship/AFP/Solutions sales role
  • At least 3 years in a management position
  • A degree in Marketing/Advertising
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must have an excellent understanding of broadcast sponsorship and branded content
  • Must possess strong leadership skills and proven ability to develop, motivate and manage a team
  • Will be highly creative and proactive in order to maximise the number of partnerships across TV3 Group
  • Must have a strong understanding of clients’ brand objectives and be able to develop relationships with marketing and brand managers/directors
  • Must have excellent relationships with advertising agency executives across all levels
  • Proven experience in delivering “industry firsts” across brand solutions
  • Will have an exceptional understanding of TV3’s brand and product make-up
  • Detailed knowledge of current digital media trends
  • Excellent reporting and analysis skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent Time Management and Organisation Skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
  • Flexibility towards working hours
  • Proven experience in over-delivering targets
  • Proven experience in pitching and winning business against competitors
  • Proven desire for achievement at industry awards level e.g. Media Awards, ADFX, Sponsorship Awards etc.  

Desirable

  • A relevant Masters Degree
  • AFP or TV branded content experience
  • Digital Sales Experience
  • Agency experience at planner level
