About the Role:

As an Associate Producer, you must lead presenters and researchers under the direction of the Executive Producer. Full of ideas and with a great contacts book, they must show great initiative, sound editorial judgement & demonstrate a precise understanding of what makes entertaining and informative television.

Specific Duties & Tasks:

• Develops and originates high impact entertaining segments.
• Leads and inspires researchers to book high impact content and delegates duties appropriately.
• To be involved in all parts of the production from researching to gallery outputting
• A keen interest in identifying potential new programme contributors.
• Works with commercial department and partners to ensure that our editorial and commercial interest work to mutual benefit.
• Liaises with relevant departments optimizing planning with: commercial, cameras, accounts
• The above list is not exhaustive. You will be expected to perform duties as necessitated by your changing role and the overall business objectives of the company, as directed

Skills & Expertise:

Essential:

• Experience working on a lifestyle programme in television/radio
• Experience of working within a team of producers and researchers in the preparation and delivery of high quality informative and entertaining programming
• Experience working to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Keen interest in social media
• Excellent TV script writing skills
• Team leader experience
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
• Excellent IT skills

Desirable:

• Live TV Outputting Experience
• Broadcast/Communications/Journalism Degree or Masters
• Editing skills
