- Complete work within the schedule while maintaining constant communication with the production team and supervisors.
- Follow production process, develop creative approaches and proactively problem-solve.
- Establish certain looks and solve particular design or effects challenges for key sequences.
- Working within studio best practices, follow guidelines, and keep scripts clean and organised.
- Have the ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
- Prioritise and revise work based on direction from supervisors
- Mentor and advise junior compositors and ensure best practices are being employed.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 year’s experience in film, TV or advertising with an in-depth knowledge of Nuke.
- A keen, detail oriented, creative eye with a strong understanding of colour.
- Strong knowledge of compositing, VFX and live action production workflows.
- Effective organisational and time management skills. Having a good sense/experience and balance of task time and creative expectation is a must.
- Proven ability to work closely in a small team with tight schedules.
- Familiarity with Shotgun.
- Experience and a thorough understanding of compositing multi-pass CG elements with a demonstrable high level of photoreal CG integration skills.
- Proficient in camera projections and 3D compositing techniques within Nuke
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with other applications such as Maya, Houdini, Photoshop a plus
- Concept, look dev, style frame experience a plus
- Experience with scripting, pipeline integration, gizmos, etc. also a plus
- Digital Matte Painting experience a plus
