About the Role
A Six O’Clock Associate Producer must lead presenters, and researchers under the direction of the Series Producer. Full of ideas, they must show great initiative, sound editorial judgement & demonstrate a precise understanding of what makes entertaining and informative television.
Main tasks of job:
- Develops and originates high impact entertaining segments.
- Leads and inspires researchers to book high impact content and delegates duties appropriately.
- Produces all food content on the show by sourcing chefs suitable for TV and develops a weekly list of varied recipes.
- Initiates and leads Six O’Clock social media activity.
- Guides programme editorial under the direction of the Series Producer.
- Drives initiatives daily within team to achieve highest broadcast standards.
- Overviews & plans OBs, VT content.
- Works with commercial department and partners to ensure that our editorial and commercial interest work to mutual benefit.
- Liaises with relevant departments optimizing planning with: commercial, cameras, accounts.

Essential:
- Keen social media user.
- An understanding of entertainment television.
- Exercises sound editorial judgement.
- Excellent TV script writing skills.
- Team leader experience.
- Energetic multi-tasker who meets deadlines.
- Remains calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
- Excellent IT skills.
Desirable:
- Experience working in Daytime TV.
- Live TV Outputting Experience.
- Broadcast/Communications Degree/Masters.
- Editing skills.
